Episode IV  -  Summer 2018

Episode IV of ‘The Road to Bali’ begins. This journey will not be as distant as Episode III but promises to be just as interesting. We are traveling to the Baltic to visit an area of the world that neither of us know very much about. We want to test the idea that Bo Brennan wrote, “It’s not just dark in Scandinavia”

Our journey will take us through Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and St Petersburg Russia. In the complex machinations that is the genius of Colleen’s travel planning we will journey by plane, train, ferry, car, bus, and a ship.

I found it interesting after Episode III I had a hard time trying to describe the experience with others. I got asked a lot, “Are you going again? Why?”. So I would fumble and try to explain. There is just so much yet to see. I have concluded the reason we go we go is simple. We both have an insatiable curiosity of what lies over the next hill.
