Curtis & Rusty

April 7, 2019 - We were blessed with a visit by Curtis, Colleen's brother, and his husband Rusty. We have made trips south to visit them before in Georgia and at their cabin in North Carolina. This is the first time they have made it to our home. The main reason for the delay is their child Moe; the mutt you see in the picture.

Moe

Moe in person is energetic and fun. He has a lively personality which is typical behavior for a terrier. However Moe hates other dogs. And he will actively try to murder them. Since we have two brain damaged hounds who don't know any better Curtis and Rusty were understandably concerned.

But we had a plan to keep them apart. Despite the fact Moe drew blood on both Flash and Charlie moments after meeting them, we managed to keep them apart for the visit and enjoyed the visit.

The real treat of the visit is that Curtis and Rusty are master gardeners. Curtis in particular is a master at creating water features for the garden. He brought with him the needed equipment, and stones from their cabin. He also found additional stones on our property to create a wonderful water feature.

The visit also coincided with birthdays. My mother in law Phyllis turned 85. Colleen, Chris, and Curtis also shared recent birthdays so the whole weekend turned into a prolonged celebration

About Us

I was waiting for a baby to be born.  It was the fall of 2015 and I had been a practicing OB/GYN for over 20 years.  I could sense it was a time for change in my life.  With new insight to what was possible, we started fantasizing about what this new life could look like.  We starting to call it our “Road to Bali.”  We didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but are so glad we took the first steps into this new adventure.  We hope you enjoy coming along on our “Road to Bali.”
